Extracorporeal Shockwave

Since the 80s, the shockwave therapy is applied for the destruction of kidney stones. However, during recent years the therapy was discovered in the orthopaedics as well. Since then acute and chronic pain at the musculature, in the area of tendons and in joints is treated. Thereby energy-rich shock waves are inserted into the paining body parts. Abnormal changes in tendons, ligaments, capsules, muscles and bones can be eliminated systematically and not rare surgeries can be prevented.
